About us
Greeting from Our CEO
Great charcoal is not manufactured. It is drawn out of wood by patience, heat, and the knowledge passed between generations.
Vietnam sits at the heart of one of the world’s richest tropical forestry regions. For centuries, communities across the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta have turned wood into charcoal — not as an industry, but as a way of life. The knowledge of how to select the right tree, how to control the fire inside a kiln, and how to judge the moment when wood becomes carbon — this knowledge does not come from textbooks. It comes from watching, listening, and doing — season after season, kiln after kiln. I believed there was a better way to be a charcoal supplier in Vietnam.
When I started Vietnam Charcoal, my goal was simple: to connect the skill of Vietnamese charcoal makers with the expectations of international buyers who demand consistency, transparency, and reliability. I had seen too many exporters treat charcoal as a commodity — filling containers with whatever was available, cutting corners on moisture content and carbon purity, and disappearing when quality complaints arrived. I believed there was a better way.
That belief became our operating principle. Every product that leaves our factory is tested, every container is inspected before sealing, and every customer receives the same level of attention — whether they are ordering their first trial shipment or their fiftieth. We do not chase volume at the expense of quality, and we do not make promises we cannot keep.
Today, our charcoal reaches restaurants, distributors, and retailers in more than 30 countries. Our white charcoal fires yakitori grills in Tokyo and Seoul. Our sawdust briquettes fuel commercial kitchens across the Middle East. Our hardwood charcoal travels to Europe, Australia, and the Americas. Behind every shipment is a team of people in Vietnam who take pride in what they produce — and a network of local workers whose livelihoods depend on this craft continuing.
The charcoal trade is older than any of us. Our role is not to reinvent it, but to ensure it is done right — with respect for the material, responsibility toward the environment, and honesty toward every partner who trusts us with their supply chain.
Thank you for considering Vietnam Charcoal.
We look forward to earning your trust.

What We Stand For
Quality before volume. Every batch is tested for fixed carbon content, moisture level, and ash percentage before packing. We reject products that do not meet specifications — even when it means delaying a shipment.
Transparency in every transaction. Our pricing is straightforward, our specifications are accurate, and our shipping documents declare exactly what is inside the container. We refuse all acts of misdeclaring goods to reduce import duties.
Sustainability as standard practice. Our raw materials come from agricultural byproducts — retired fruit trees, plantation timber offcuts, and managed bamboo forests. No primary forest is harvested for our charcoal production.
Long-term partnerships over short-term sales. Our oldest customers have been with us for years. We earn their loyalty by delivering consistent quality, honoring commitments, and solving problems before they become complaints.
